To ensure that BBU and The Continuum Enrichment Center are the right fit for you or your loved one, applicants must meet a combination of the following eligibility factors. These criteria are in place to help us provide the most effective, supportive, and empowering experience for all participants.
BBU serves transition-age youth and young adults.
Applicants must be:
14 to 24 years old
Open to learning, growing, and participating in structured programs
We welcome individuals at different stages of their educational journey, with a special focus on those who may not have followed the traditional path.
To qualify, you must fall into one of the following categories:
Current Student:
Enrolled in a middle or high school
Has an active IEP (Individualized Education Program) or a 504 Plan
Has a documented learning disability
Recent Graduate / Former Student:
Earned a Special Education Diploma or Certificate of Completion
Exited high school without receiving a traditional diploma
May be disconnected from school or in need of structured post-school support
BBU proudly supports neurodiverse individuals and those with documented disabilities that impact their learning, processing, or communication.
To be eligible, you must have a diagnosis that fits one or more of the following:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
Intellectual Disabilities
Specific Learning Disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia)
Cognitive impairments or processing disorders
Executive functioning difficulties
Important Note: You do not need to be receiving special education services currently, as long as documentation of a qualifying condition exists.

BBU specializes in helping youth who are preparing for life after school. Our programming is designed for individuals who need additional support transitioning into adulthood.
You may qualify if you:
Require help with life skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, personal care)
Want support in vocational training or finding a job
Need a personalized transition plan
Have aged out of school-based services but still need structure and guidance
Feel disconnected or left behind by current programs
Family involvement is a cornerstone of our program’s success. We require and encourage engagement from caregivers or guardians, especially for younger participants.
Requirements:
Families must attend periodic workshops or planning sessions
Participate in progress check-ins (can be virtual or in-person)
Support implementation of goals at home
Guardians must give consent for applicants under age 18
We are located in Metro Atlanta and serve the local community first, while remaining open to others as space allows.
Priority is given to:
Residents of Metro Atlanta
Neighboring counties such as DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, Clayton, Henry, etc.
Out-of-area applicants:
Will be considered based on space and program availability
May have options for virtual services depending on need and program fit
BBU provides a group-based environment focused on collaboration, growth, and mutual respect. To ensure a successful experience for all, we look for individuals who can engage positively in our programs.
Expectations include:
Willingness to set personal goals and work toward them
Interest in developing independence and self-advocacy
Ability to participate in a group learning setting with minimal behavioral support
Respect for peers, staff, and the program environment
